As we do every year, the Old Scotch Rover Crew attended the 2021 Surf Moot, down in Anglesea. It was a fantastic weekend, as it always is, but this year felt even more special as it was some peoples first real large gathering post COVID.
We arrived on the Friday night, set up camp and relaxed into the atmosphere of the Moot. Saturday we were awoken by Triple J starting the Hottest 100 count down, another Surf Moot tradition. Saturday was spent down at the beach, swimming, exploring and playing frisbee. After a late lunch, and well and truly enough sun exposure from the beach, we headed back to the shade of camp. Stopping on the way, at the Chocolatier, of course, for some ice cream and free chocolate. The rest of the day consisted of a lazy afternoon matinee, followed by some laid-back camp games.
By sundown, we had recouped our energy from spending the day at the beach and were geeing up for a fun night socialising with other crews and dancing at the stage. Turned into a great night, dancing into the early hours of the morning!
We woke to a slow start on Sunday, cooked breakfast needed. Then began the pack up and journey home.
Surf Moot is always a highlight on our calendar, and we look forward to next years!
